iQuran Academy (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by the iQuran Academy team, based in the United States. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and what rights you have regarding your data.
This policy applies to all users of the iQuran Academy platform at iquranacademy.com, including students, parents, and sheikhs. For privacy questions or requests, contact us at info@iquranacademy.com.
Account information: name, email address, phone number (optional), and a securely hashed password.
Role-specific information: for students and parents — date of birth and subjects of interest; for sheikhs — qualifications, bio, availability, and hourly rate.
Class data: booked sessions, attendance records, progress notes (Juz memorized, homework status), and notes written by assigned sheikhs.
Audio recitations: when students upload recordings for their sheikh to review, these are stored securely and accessible only to the assigned sheikh and platform administrators.
Messages: in-platform communications between students, parents, and sheikhs.
Technical data: IP address, browser type, device type, and usage patterns. We use this for security monitoring and platform improvement.
We do not sell your personal information to any third party, ever.
iQuran Academy welcomes students of all ages, including children under 13. We take the privacy of young learners very seriously and comply with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Accounts with no login activity for 24 months may be deleted after prior notice. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the new effective date at the top of this page and notify registered users by email. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
